Monmartre District

The Montmartre district of Paris is famous for its artists, writers, poets and evening entertainment.   It became a popular haunt for bohemians and others in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Perched on a hilltop overlooking the city of Paris, Montmartre is home to a number of tourist attractions.  They include the Sacré-Cœur Basilica and the Moulin Rouge.
