The Gare du Nord (Northern Train Station) is situated north of central Paris.   It is currently one of the five busiest train stations in the world.  Train travel between Paris and Brussels and other northern destinations originate from this station. Since 1994, the Gare du Nord station has been the departure point for Eurostar trains traveling to London, under the English Channel.
